Hyde Park Winter Wonderland unveils Neverland: over 500 tonnes of ice in its Magical Ice Kingdom
News — November 4, 2026
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, the UK’s biggest festive event, opens on November 19, 2026 in central London with a standout novelty: this year its Magical Ice Kingdom introduces the Neverland theme, an enchanted world built from more than 500 tonnes of ice and snow and hundreds of hand-carved sculptures, in partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
Neverland carved in ice
The visit begins in the Darling family nursery, where Peter Pan and Tinkerbell await. From there, the journey crosses the Lost Boys’ camp, passes the enchanted mermaid’s pool and ‘boards’ the Jolly Roger: frozen slides, the fearsome Captain Hook and even the chance to walk the plank. The event runs from November 19, 2026 to January 3, 2027.
The ice rink, beside the Victorian bandstand
Around Hyde Park’s iconic Victorian bandstand rises every winter the UK’s largest open-air ice rink, with 45-minute sessions and up to 400 skaters per session. Entry costs from £1 on November off-peak days (Monday to Thursday) and £5.50 standard; entry is free when you spend £25 on attractions in advance. Ice Skating is available from £12.65 per adult off-peak.
The ice that holds the magic
A real-ice rink of this size demands a refrigeration project engineered to the last detail: capacity, insulation and continuous maintenance to keep the ice smooth and stable through six weeks of intensive use. It is the same standard Napapiri has applied since 1993 to every real-ice rink it designs, manufactures, rents and sells — mobile and permanent — for event organizers, municipalities and sports and leisure facilities worldwide.
