Estonia’s Mihhail Selevko took the men’s title at the Lombardia Trophy 2026, the fourth event of the ISU Challenger Series, held 18\u201320 September at the IceLab Arena in Bergamo, Italy. Scoring 169.78 points in the free skate for a total of 260.87, the 23-year-old set two personal bests and led the field from start to finish.<\/p>\n
The victory came on an especially emotional weekend: on Friday, just hours after learning of the death of Irina Kononova, his lifelong coach, Selevko broke his short-program personal best with 91.09 points. Kononova coached Mihhail and his brother Aleksandr for more than 20 years and was his primary coach until April.<\/p>\n
Matvei Vetlugin finished second on 254.53 points and France’s Corentin Spinar took third on 247.66, his first Challenger Series podium. Estonia completed the sweep: on Saturday Niina Petr\u00f5kina won the women’s event by just 1.15 points over Shin Jia, so both Bergamo singles titles went to the Baltic country.<\/p>\n
